The infoshop and cafe is Citizen Smiths main activity at the moment and is likely to remain that way. We reckon that if people are given access to the information which rarely gets reported by the mainstream press, they will realise just how serious things have become, question the mainstream a bit more and perhaps start standing up for themselves and others a bit quicker. Having said that, it is not the main reason we run the cafe/infoshop. People have a right to know the truth about what is going on, not only in this country but world-wide. By choosing not to report properly television and newspaper barons are guilty of censorship, something that should have been irradicated by this stage. We carry a broad range of magazines and pamphlets covering as wide and area as possible though we will not promote any literature which is racist, sexist, right-wing etc. Because we are all volunters we cannot afford to subscribe to many mags etc so if you print any please bear us in mind and send us some copies.;-) If you want to digest the latest information either call round to the building or call us first to see what we have (phone number on the contact page). or You could always go to the LINKS page and check out the websites. Our free/donation cafe is open Sundays from 2pm onwards providing veggie food, tea and whatever else we can get our hands on . Everyone is welcome (kids and dogs included). We have occassional events on cafe days too, so watch this space for details. |
